Chief Terrence Green is announcing daily child seat check events planned for Child Passenger Safety Week that will begin on Monday, September 18, 2023, and continue through Friday, September 22, 2023.
This national initiative aligns with our ongoing strategic goal of ‘Improving Traffic Safety’ in the Town of Lexington. This is an opportunity for our CPS Technicians to ensure that children in our community are in properly used and installed child seats. CPS Technicians will discuss with parents the best car seat types for their child’s age and weight range and also make sure a car seat has not been recalled or needs replacement.
