[ARCHIVED] "Pack the Pontoon" for Toys for Tots

Chief Terrence Green is announcing to the Town of Lexington community that our annual Toys for Tots collection has begun and will continue through December 8, 2022, with donation events planned at the Lexington Police Department, Learning Express, the Icehouse Pavilion, Target at Lexington Pavilion, and Walmart.

This year, we’re kicking off a new campaign with Toys for Tots “Pack the Pontoon” and appreciate the support of Mountain Top Marine for providing a new pontoon boat that our officers will use during our planned events.  We hope to take in enough new and unwrapped toys that the pontoon boat will be filled several times over to help those in need this holiday season.

For those who are attending the Town of Lexington Snowball Festival events, toy donations will be taken there.  We are asking that those attending the Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 4, 2022, will bring toys that will be taken by Chief Terrence Green and Volunteers in Police Services (V.I.P.S.) members as they walk the parade route on Main Street.

Toys for Tots donations are being accepted at the Lexington Police Department at 111 Maiden Lane in Lexington during business through Thursday, December 8, 2022.

All cash and check donations made during the Toys for Tots “Pack the Pontoon” campaign will be used for shopping sprees with Chief Terrence Green and Community Action Team officers to purchase additional toys for the Marines Toys for Toys Foundation.

Follow along with Toys for Tots “Pack the Pontoon” updates on the Lexington Police Department website and on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
