[ARCHIVED] National Child Passenger Safety Week to Promote "The Right Seat"

The Lexington Police Department continues its commitment to car safety for children always being in “The Right Seat” with our participation in National Child Passenger Safety Week.
 
Free child seat checks have been planned daily beginning on Monday, September 19, 2022, and continuing through Saturday, September 24, 2022, and Child Passenger Seat Technicians will be available at the following events:


MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2022

Lexington Elementary School

116 Azalea Drive

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Incentive: Blue Bell Creameries

 

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2022

Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe

4295 Sunset Boulevard

7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Incentive: Chick-fil-A Biscuits & Coffee

 

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2022

New Providence Elementary School 

1118 Old Cherokee Road

11:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Incentive: Blue Bell Creameries

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2022

Certified CPS Technicians will be checking to make sure car seats are installed correctly, teaching parents and guardians about the South Carolina child seat law and the correct seat types for the child’s age and weight range.  Parents and guardians will learn the skills to install the child seat with our CPS Technicians correctly.

 

Thanks to our ongoing partnerships with Blue Bell Creameries, Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe, Eggs Up Grill, and O’Hara’s Bakery Café for supporting these events.
