Did you play an instrument in high school or college? Still have it? Dig it out of the closet or attic and join the Lexington Community Band!
The first spring rehearsal is on March 3, 2020 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the River Bluff High School band room. More information can be found on the band’s website: www.LexingtonCommunityBand.org.
The Lexington Community Band is now in its sixth year of performances. We are a non-profit organization that was founded, partly, to give amateur musicians an opportunity to perform. Many members played their instruments during high school or college, but put them away to raise family, pursue careers, or other reasons. The Lexington Community Band allows us the opportunity to play again, make new friends, and contribute musically to the community. Our members also include some high school students and music teachers/directors.
The band typically performs two FREE concerts a year, for all to enjoy. Interested musicians should clean out their instrument’s cobwebs, oil up the valves, or oil the slide of the trombones and come on out! The spring concert will be May 17 at 3 p.m. at the River Bluff High School Performing Arts Center.
