This information is provided to aid in the submittal of projects to the Town of Lexington, please understand that projects vary and some items may differ from what is indicated here.

The following will take you through the process of submitting plans to the Town of Lexington for review and inspection and ultimately our ownership and operation of sewer and/or water mains. Included are required documentation as well as forms submittal application.

Plan Review

Submittal Process

• Finals to be signed and sealed. 
• PDF of as-built drawings, with appropriate easements.
• DWG - Asbuilt Plans need to be in State Plane Coordinate System with Lexington County Roads.
• Deeds and Easements: Easements are to be shown and noted on referenced as-builts. 
• Construction cost sheet.
• Compaction Report
• Final Inspection. 

Water

• A copy of the bacteriological tests.
• Hydrostatic test: 150% of operating pressure. 

Sewer

• Gravity
  
  • Pressure test: 5psi, hold for 5 mins
  • Vacuum test
  • Video inspection of lines and written report.
• Forcemain 
  • Hydrostatic test: 150* pounds per square inch for 2 hours (*depends on head conditions)

Lift Station

• Drawdown report
• O&M manuals (2) for all equipment in station
• Utility Transfer Letters
