Lieutenant Carroll Bledsoe
CID works to follow up on reports of criminal activity initially reported to our uniformed patrol officers. Investigators then establish the elements of the crime as defined by state law, identify and apprehend the person responsible for the criminal act. The Investigations Division is also responsible for forensic examination of crime scenes along with the evaluation, collection and preservation of evidence. CID is additionally tasked with the transport of fugitives from other jurisdictions as well as Court Security for the Town of Lexington Summary Court.
