The policies of the Lexington Police Department are collected into a document referred to as the Manual of General Orders. These orders govern all aspects of the Department and are a fundamental reason why accreditation was granted in 2000 and maintained since then. Reviewed internally on an annual basis and externally as part of re-accreditation, the Manual of General Orders is not a static document. At this time, many policies are undergoing an internal review so check this page again in the near future if you are interested in viewing specific policies.
