OPS is responsible for the internal affairs function of the department and to investigate all complaints or allegations of misconduct against the members of the Lexington Police Department. OPS conducts periodic inspections to ensure objective review of Department procedures, personnel, equipmnet, facilities and administrative activities.

OPS ensures continuing compliance with all applicable standards of the South Carolina Association for Law Enforcement Accreditation and the overall quality control function of the Department
