Elections are held in the Town of Lexington on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November of every even numbered year (General Election Day).
· The Voting Precincts are as follows:
Lexington #1 - Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church (Highway #378)
Lexington #2 - Lexington Intermediate School (Hendrix Street)
Lexington #3 - Lexington Middle School (Highway #6)
Lexington #4 - Lexington Baptist Church (West Main Street)
Park Road - St. Alban's Episcopal Church (Park Road)
Pilgrim Church - Pilgrim Lutheran Church (N. Lake Drive)
· The Candidate must submit a nominating petition containing the signatures of not less than 5% of the registered voters within the Town.
· To qualify as a candidate you must:
1. Be a resident of the Town
2. Be a registered voter
· The Mayor and six members of Council are elected from the Town at large in non-partisan elections.
· The Mayor and Council are elected for four year staggered terms.
