Mission: We provide such diverse functions as overseeing day-to-day operation of Town services, legal and human resource activities, support for Town Council, marketing, and public relations. Business and Development Services Center
Mission: The Center serves two primary functions: staff members assist prospective business owners with the process of opening a business within the Town of Lexington and they walk developers and builders through the commercial and residential construction process.
Mission: Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers in a professional, cost efficient and effective manner;
Provide citizens, customers, decision makers and other interested parties with useful, timely and accurate information;
and Account for and safeguard the financial resources of the Town.

Planning, Building and Technology
Mission: Enforce Land Development Regulations, Zoning and Sign Ordinances and the International Building Codes; produce agendas and coordinate meetings of the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Building Board Code of Appeals; issues building, zoning and appeal permits; and manage a wide range of technology issues for the Town.
Mission: The men and women of the Police Department are dedicated to building a strong Lexington. Through the delivery of exemplary service with a focus on problem solving, we are committed to enhancing the quality of life in our neighborhoods by building a partnership with the community we serve.
Mission:The Utilities/Engineering Department thrive to insure that all ratepayers get the best uninterrupted water and sewer service possible and receive the quickest response to complaints or problems by staff.
