Police Officer

Only applications which have been completed in their entirety will be considered. Partially completed applications will not be evaluated. No Civilian positions are open at this time.

Applications are also accepted during normal business hours. The Department is located in the Public Safety building of the Lexington Town Hall Complex at 111 Maiden Lane.

Requirements


Applicants must be 21 years of age and posses a valid South Carolina driver's license with vision correctable to 20/20.

Educational and/or experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and have one of the listed minimums of an Associates Degree from an accredited institution or be a certified law enforcement officer or foreign language fluency (tested) or honorable military service or two years public safety experience. 

Applicants must be in good health and be able to meet the Lexington Police Department's physical fitness requirements along with the requirements of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.

Must will have no visible tattoos while wearing standard uniform apparel.
