November 2016

Town Council, staff and I invite you to the fifth annual Snowball Festival December 2-4, 2016.

The three-day event will kick-off with a Concert, Carnival and Tree Lighting at Lexington Square Park on Friday night from 6pm-8pm and will feature balloon animals, face painting, magic shows, stilt walkers, caricature artist, a craft corner, hot cocoa and s 'mores station, live music by Tara Scheyer and the Mud Puppy Band and most importantly, visits and pictures with Santa!

On Saturday morning, put on your running shoes for the PattyPacks 10K and 5K race. Proceeds will benefit PattyPacks. Founded in early 2011, PattyPacks was designed to assist the families of loved ones born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD). In the organization's brief existence it has already evolved to assist families beyond the scope of CHD and now works to provide support to families affected by extensive stays in pediatric intensive care. The goal is to provide emotional support to these families during their loved one's stay in the hospital as well as provide a support network upon discharge. Learn more about PattyPacks and register for the race at www.pattypacks.org.

Saturday evening, join us at the Icehouse Amphitheater from 5pm-7pm for a double feature movie. Pack your blankets and settle in to watch Mickey's Christmas Carol (26 min) and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (26 min).

Finally, on Sunday, head to Main St. for the annual Christmas Parade, starting at 3:30pm and then join us immediately after the parade for "Songs of the Season" Choir Concert at the Icehouse Amphitheater. It is a wonderful way to close out a weekend of festive celebration!

We hope to see you there to ring in the holiday season!
