May 2015

As we celebrate the third anniversary of the Town's Vision Plan, it is exciting to host two great events that have turned our vision into a reality.

First, the Sixth Annual Lexington Wine Walk on Main will take place on Saturday, May 9 from 6pm-10pm on the 100 block of East Main St. This year's entertainment includes Going Commando Band and The High Maintenance Band. The event is 21+ and tickets are on sale now at the Lexington Wine Walk website.

Through the efforts of the Lexington Beautification Foundation, the Town of Lexington and Lexington County along with the Lexington County Law Enforcement Officers' Association, Lexington County Bar Association, and Dennis Corporation, created Lexington Square Park. The square is the epicenter of downtown and hosts such events as the Snowball Festival and Farmers Market

Speaking of the Farmers Market, the 2015 Season will also kick off on Saturday, May 9 from 9am-12pm at Lexington Square Park. The Town of Lexington Farmers Market is primarily intended as a farmer/grower and local artisan market that uses a community-friendly atmosphere to promote, support and encourage local production, while educating citizens on the benefits of eating local, fresh produce and supporting local artists and the Certified SC program. This year's market will include produce, plants, milk, baked goods and crafts. For more information contact (803) 356-8238 or visit our Farmers Market page.

We hope to see you out and about at these wonderful events promoting all Lexington has to offer!
