December 2012
The Town of Lexington has had a remarkable year of outstanding accomplishments. Town Council worked diligently with the community stakeholders and staff to develop our Vision Plan. I am pleased to say we have already completed several first year projects including the opening of Lexington Square Park, reopening our Farmers Market at a new indoor location, launching our Main St. Facade program and our most recent event, the Snowball Festival, a perfect way to kick-off the Christmas holiday season.

November 2012
As Town Council embarked on the Vision Plan journey two years ago, the focus was how can we provide a better quality of life to our residents as well as the opportunity to stimulate economic activity in the downtown corridor. A key recommendation to that answer was to host additional Town events, such as a revamped Christmas Celebration.

October 2012
A top priority for our town to continue its commercial viability and quality of life is to reign in the traffic congestion we currently face and will continue to face. Our Unified Traffic Improvement Plan is in Phase I with construction along Columbia Ave, W. Butler St and W. Main St., which will help relieve congestion along this very busy corridor.

August 2012
It gives me great satisfaction to announce that the Town of Lexington has successfully saved over $1 Million for our ratepayers of the combined waterworks and wastewater system through the refinancing of revenue bonds previously issued to build and expand the system.

July 2012
Happy 4th of July! This is a special time to engage in history and show family and friends the true meaning of independence, while taking in the sights and sounds of fireworks throughout the Midlands. It is also a time to fly "Old Glory" and sing "God Bless America", certainly the land I love, as I know you do too!

June 2012
Summer has officially arrived – school is out, parks are bustling and the sun is gleaming on Lake Murray. June also celebrates Father's Day, a special day in my life, as I know it is to all Dads. Not only do I have the privilege to have three beautiful daughters and two grandchildren with another on the way, due on Thanksgiving Day. I am also proud to have been the founding "father" of our Vision Plan - VisionLexington.

May 2012
Council, staff and I are excited to announce "good stuff" is happening in the Town of Lexington.
-
April 2012
The Town of Lexington is proud to lend our hand to the environment and do our part in preserving Mother Nature.
-
March 2012
Warmer weather is on the horizon, Spring has Sprung! As we enter a new season, the Town is in full force celebrating Mother Nature and helping the environment.
-
February 2012
As most of you may know, the top priority for our Town is addressing the severe traffic congestion we experience daily as we go about our travels.

January 2012
Happy New Year! 2012, here we come! It is hard to believe another year is upon us. I am very excited for the coming year and watching the nearly $1.2 million dollars the Town recently received in grant funding put to good use in our great Town for the benefit of both our businesses and citizens.
